Huile Antique Medina Oud

This dry oil is a perfect nectar for the skin. Composed of three natural plant oils, it possesses a cumulative beneficial effect: the more you use it, the more the skin transforms due to its shaping and moisturizing effects. Sesame oil is a unique treasure: it was the world’s first vegetable extract in Mesopotamia, 3,500 years ago. It has softening qualities and is extremely easily absorbed. Fortified with antioxidants – Vitamin E, lecithin and sesamolin – it protects the skin against ageing. As for apricot oil, it strengthens the skin’s hydrolipidic layer and prevents dehydration. In 1834, Jean-Vincent Bully added Huile Antique to his beauty catalogue, inspired by Ancient Greek cosmetic practices and restorative skincare from thermal baths. This treatment, highly popular at the beginning of the 19th century, when there was a vogue for all things evoking Antiquity, was reinvented and brought up to date by the Officine.
